On July 8 and 9, the Director of the Bulgarian National Freight Forwarding Association (NSBS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Momchil Antov, paid a working visit to the Macedonian Association of International Freight Forwarders and Logistics Operators (MIFA).
During the meeting, the opportunities for developing the partnership between the two organizations were discussed, as well as the exchange of good practices in support of the forwarding and logistics sector. The experience of the NSBS in working with members, protecting their interests before state bodies and institutions, organizing the Managers’ Conferences, the activities of the Training Center and cooperation with national and international partners such as FIATA and CLECAT were presented.
During the visit, a meeting was also held with Ms. Biljana Peeva-Gjurikj, Director of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, at which the model of the NSBS as an independent branch organization with independent management and financing was presented. The differences in the organization of the branch associations in the two countries and the opportunities for future cooperation were discussed. In the Republic of North Macedonia, the branch organizations function as part of the Economic Chamber and do not have organizational and financial autonomy.
The meetings were held in an open and constructive spirit and confirmed the common desire to develop closer cooperation between the NSBS and MIFA through the exchange of expert experience, participation in professional forums and the implementation of initiatives of mutual interest.
