After five vibrant days (6–10 October 2025), the FIATA World Congress 2025 concluded successfully in Hanoi, leaving lasting impressions on international delegates.
With the theme of 'Green and Resilient Logistics', the Congress brought together 1,200 delegates from over 100 countries and territories. These included FIATA leaders, logistics association representatives, experts, businesses and policymakers from around the world.
FIATA World Congress 2025 provided an in-depth overview of current global logistics trends, with a particular focus on green development, digital transformation, and the creation of resilient supply chains in an ever-changing world.
A diverse and dynamic series of additional activities, including business networking sessions, the Young Logistics Professionals programme, professional committee meetings, Vietnam Culture Night, and international receptions, provided a vibrant space for cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. These activities embodied the spirit of connection and friendship that characterised the FIATA World Congress 2025.
The NSBS was represented at the Congress by Dr Ivan Petrov, Deputy Chairman of the Board, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Momchil Antov, Director of the Association. Having completed his term as Immediate Past President of FIATA, Dr Petrov was awarded an honorary membership certificate.
He was a key participant in the panel discussion on 'Inland Waterways and Rail Transport — the Key to Green Logistics', emphasising that Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam in particular, must strengthen cross-border rail connections to build a sustainable regional transport network.
The Electoral General Assembly of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) is being held in Hanoi on 10 October. Mr Thomas Sim from Singapore was officially elected FIATA President for the 2025–2027 term. Together with the newly elected Vice Presidents, Secretary General and Treasurer, Mr Sim is committed to promoting global cooperation on digital transformation and sustainable logistics..
