Participation of NSBS in regional round tables for business and education in Shumen and Targovishte

In recent days, two key regional events were held under the title "Business and Education in Technology Industries - Prospects and Challenges", in which the Bulgarian National Freight Forwarding Association (NSBS) took an active part. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of NSBS, Mr. Tsvetin Todorov, was among the participants and presented the strategic importance and views of the forwarding and logistics industry in Bulgaria.

The forums brought together representatives of business, local authorities, academia and leading industry organizations to discuss the integration of science, innovation, dual training and labor market trends.

Roundtable in the city of Shumen (June 29, 2026)

The event was held at the Regional Library "Stiliyan Chilingirov" and was opened by the Regional Governor Georgi Zhekov. During the first panel, Mr. Tsvetin Todorov gave a presentation on the topic "Forwarding and Logistics Sector in Bulgaria". The state and prospects for business and investments in the region were discussed. Mr. Todorov emphasized that without strong logistics connectivity and trained personnel, technological industries such as electrical engineering, electronics and mechanical engineering cannot develop their full potential in the region.

Round table in Targovishte (June 30, 2026)

The next day, the discussions continued in the Press Center hall in the building of the Regional Administration - Targovishte. The event was hosted by the Regional Governor, Eng. Ilko Iliev. The Chairman of the NSBS again presented the key trends in the logistics sector. He actively participated in the discussion panel, moderated by Olya Ivanova (Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce - Targovishte), where the opportunities for dual training under the DOMINO-2 program and the labor market in the region were discussed.

During both events, Mr. Tsvetin Todorov emphasizes the need for closer cooperation between business, vocational high schools and universities. The logistics sector is undergoing increased digitalization and automation, which requires new skills from young specialists. NSBS remains committed to supporting initiatives for dual training and the creation of technology hubs that will retain young talents in the regions and support the competitiveness of Bulgarian industry.

We thank the co-organizers from BASEL, the local chambers of commerce and industry and the partners for the excellent organization and fruitful dialogue!
